Why are we asking about VAT?

This machine can be bought without VAT by someone who is chronically sick or disabled, for their own personal or domestic use. HMRC sets the rules, not us, and it is a simple declaration rather than a medical assessment.

Choose "I'm VAT Exempt" if that applies to you, or to the person you are buying for. Being older is not enough on its own, and nor is a short-term injury such as a broken leg. You will confirm this in the basket before you pay.

Choose "Non-VAT Exempt" if it does not apply. The price then includes VAT at 20%.

If you are buying for someone else who qualifies, they are the one who needs to be eligible, not you. Not sure? Ring us and we will talk it through, there is no pressure either way.

Questions people ask us

The things customers ring up about most often, answered plainly.

How small does it fold?

87 cm long by 60 cm high by 32 cm wide once folded, and it is a full fold rather than a hinge in the middle. At 14 kg it is the lightest machine we sell, which matters if you are lifting it into a boot or a locker on your own.

Is there a motor on this one?

No, and that is deliberate. This is a straightforward folding pushbike with 7 speed Shimano twist gears, front and rear disc brakes, a pannier rack, mudguards, a sidestand and a removable saddle. If you want assistance on hills, look at our folding electric bikes instead.

What does the warranty cover?

One year, excluding punctures. Punctures are wear rather than a fault, and tubes are cheap and easy to get, so we would rather be clear about it up front than argue about it later.

Why is delivery £30 on a pushbike?

Bicycles go on a pallet or a two person service whatever they cost, so the folding pushbike carries the £30 delivery charge regardless of what else is in the order. We would rather show you the real figure than hide it in the price.
