Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy from AS Bikes. Please read them alongside our returns and delivery policies. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order has been despatched. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is no longer available, we will contact you and refund you in full.

We try to keep product descriptions and specifications accurate. Machines are built by hand and specifications may change as we improve them, so small differences from the photographs are possible.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate where VAT applies. Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time of ordering.

VAT relief

Some of our machines can be supplied without VAT to customers with a long-term illness or disability. If you buy at the VAT-relief price you must complete the eligibility declaration. It is a declaration, not a medical assessment, but it must be truthful; there are penalties for making a false declaration. If you are unsure whether you qualify, ring us before you order.

Using an electric bike or tricycle

Our machines are supplied for use in accordance with UK law. Where a throttle is fitted, it is supplied for off-road use only; on public roads the machine is ridden on pedal assist. We are happy to explain how that works in practice.

Returns, delivery and warranty

See our returns policy and delivery policy. Machines carry a one year warranty.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price you paid for the goods.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
